Devon County Youth Brass Band
If you're under 21 and play a brass instrument, this is your chance to be part of something amazing! Directed by local brass band musicians Chris Spreadbury and Matt Hawkins, along with support from local peripatetic tutors, the bands meet on six Sundays during the school year in Exeter.
We have three bands;
Devon County Youth Brass Band is a high-level youth ensemble, suitable for musicians of grade 4 standard or higher. DCYBB rehearse from 10:00-16:00 on gathering days.
Devon County Junior Brass Band is our "intermediate" band, bridging the gap from our enthusiastic Children's Band to the challenges of the Youth Band. This would be suitable for students in years 6-8 of grade 1-3 standard. DCJBB rehearse from 10:00-12:30.
Devon County Children's Brass Band is aimed at introducing beginner students their first chance to play in a band. DCCBB welcome students in years 3-5 of any ability. DCCBB rehearse from 10:00-12:30.
